Safeguarding Queries
If you have any queries, questions or general concerns relating to safeguarding at St Mary's Battle please contact our Safeguarding Officer, Mrs Jan Collins, either by phone (01424-775290 or 07592 948 020) or email safeguarding@stmarysbattle.org.uk
Jan will be happy to discuss our policies with you and advise on general safeguarding matters.
Any concerns regarding the welfare and safety of any child, young person or adult whilst in the church’s care must be reported as soon as possible to the head of their ministry or directly to the Incumbent and Parish Safeguarding Officer.
Under no circumstances should a church worker or volunteer or member of the public carry out their own investigations into the allegation or suspicion of abuse.
Diocesan training sessions are held regularly to ensure all workers with our children and young people are familiar with the procedures and understand the importance of working to best practice at all times.
